(KTIV) – Iowa health officials are reporting 20,949 more people have completed their vaccine series, meaning 951,514 individuals are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
As of Saturday morning, the state’s COVID-19 vaccine dashboard shows 2,174,800 total vaccine doses have been administered to Iowa residents.
Between 10 a.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday, there were 436 new, confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state. So far, Iowa has reported 362,678 people have tested positive for the virus
Of those who have tested positive, 344,133 have recovered, an increase of 516 since yesterday.
Iowa’s COVID-19 dashboard shows three additional virus-related deaths have been reported, bringing the state’s death toll to 5,907.
Subtracting the number of recoveries (344,133) and the number of deaths (5,907) from the total number of cases (362,678) shows there are currently 12,638 active positive cases in the state.
The latest report from the Iowa Department of Public Health says there are 209 hospitalizations due to the virus, which is down from 217 reported Friday. Of those hospitalizations, 48 are in the ICU and 22 are on ventilators.
In Iowa, there were 2,505 test results reported in the last 24 hours, and a total of 1,697,048 people have been tested for COVID-19.
